What to expect from an African party.

If you are new to an African party and you want to explore it, I think you need to know these things before you go.

       1. Africans dominate party. What I mean by this is, if you are having a party and you invite like 20 people, please expect to have 60 people at your party. Africans do not obey invitation. They show up in masses. If an African get an invitation to a party, she will tell her friends and her friends tell the other friend and the list goes on. Before you know it, you will see people cashing on your party like tornado.

       2. Africans overdress. Have you ever been to a typical African wedding? If you are the bride, thank your God that white is your default color that day. Africans do not obey the rules that says do not overshadow the bride. We dress to kill during weddings 😄. Noticed that I said “we”, that's because I am guilty as charged in this one. Africans especially the women don’t joke with their looks when anything wedding is involved. We pull out that purse. Like seriously. Shopping! Lol. They way Africans spend money just to buy their outfit for a wedding, you would think the party is theirs.

    3. The music. Our music has to be loud. If the music is not loud then there is no party. Africans dance to sound and rhythm. It's no surprise that Africans are they best dancers on planet. Our music has to echo a loud sound to propel us to move.

   4. The food. In an African party, there has to be enough food. Africans do not go to a party where food is limited. There must be a lineup of different delicacy. Trust me it delicious. 😆 I am salivating right now.

      5. Take home food. Africans don’t go to a party and comeback empty handed. You must be kidding me. How possible is it that I will go to a party that has Nigerian or Ghanaian jellof rice and comeback empty handed? Na! That can’t happen. Though, sometimes it can get really extreme. If you are the host to an African party, you better watch it because your guest will smuggle your food and leave you dry.

There you go. I believe the list above can serve as a good guideline for  an aspiring African party guest or host. If I am missing something, please feel free friends to add your input below in the comment box.

Thanks.
I am humble.
